Michigan Fiddlers Association will be holding a jamboree on Saturday, February 20, 2010, from 2 p.m.-9 p.m., at the Barry County Commission on Aging, 320 W Woodlawn, Hastings, MI 49058, north of the Courthouse, corner of Broadway (M-43) and Woodlawn. Dinner available. Please join us.

5-6 p.m. - Open Mike
6-9 p.m. - Round and Square Dancing

The jamboreee yesterday at Hastings was awesome!! The weather was beautiful which brought out a lot of people. The room was completely full of listeners and musicians. We had 16 fiddlers and a great group of backup people. After a delicious meal and the open mic portion, we had round and square dancing where there were three full squares and several couples for the other dances. Special thanks to Roger Simpson for helping out calling square dances since two of our callers were under the weather so it was just Roger and Dick Wild calling all the square dances. If you weren't there, you missed out on a good time!
