Martha Burghdoff passed away Thursday morning (January 21, 2021). Martha was the wife of Bob Burghdoff and was very active for many years supporting and serving the MFA. Visitation and service will be Jan 27 & 28 at Beeler-Gore Funeral Home in Middleville. Tuesday, September 1, 2020 Leavett “Salty” Kline passed away at the age of 95. He was a member of the Fiddlers Hall of Fame and a square dance caller, played several instruments including fiddle, and piano. August 22, 2020 – Within the last day or two we have learned that Geraldine “Gerry” Parker of Howell, MI passed away as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Eaton Rapids, MI. No information is currently available about a memorial or celebration of life but details will be posted here when they become available. Gerry was inducted into the MFA Hall of Fame in 2017 and was instrumental in starting the LAMS jam in Fowlerville, MI. She was a talented old time and bluegrass musician and a fine person.

July 8, 2020 we learned that Danny Johnston of Good Hart, MI passed away in his sleep last night. Danny was inducted into the Michigan Fiddlers Hall of Fame in 2012 and was a fiddler, piano player, singer, played other instruments as well  and was someone who it seems always had a smile on his face and and a funny story at the ready. Arrangements are not known at this time but we will update as they become known.

We are sad to inform you that Edna (Carmichael) Johnson passed away Saturday morning, June 27, 2020. Growing up with musical parents Edna has played the piano and fiddle for a very long time.
